    <p>This paper proposes a framework and maps for cross-boundary knowledge creation that transcends the inside and outside boundaries of the Japanese Society for Information and Systems in Education (JSiSE), facilitating intellectual exchange among all stakeholders in the field of information and systems in education. By translating the universally understood “5W1H” question framework into the context of this field, we aim to design maps that serve as a foundation for mutual understanding and collaboration. Additionally, this paper organizes and clarifies the concept of research questions, as well as how they are perceived within the field. The proposed maps and framework are intended to provide a basis for future stakeholder dialogues and discussions that emphasize the importance of research questions.</p>

    <p>This study develops a search system combining an agent-based infection simulator with Bayesian optimization to identify optimal backup policies that minimize infections and backup workers at production sites during outbreaks. The backup policy sets the scope of absence for the infected worker and surrounding workers. Appropriate adjustment of the backup scope is crucial; a scope too narrow won't contain the infection, while one too wide requires unnecessary personnel. We experimented with the developed system in 12 different scenarios and obtained three findings: 1) The developed system could provide optimal backup policies similar to public health strategies in certain scenarios, such as when influenza was prevalent and masks were not used, 2) A single policy was optimal throughout the entire simulation in certain scenarios, 3) The appropriate backup implementation policy varied depending on the factory size, mask usage rate, and virus type. It was also important to quickly identify the causative virus and utilize this information for countermeasures.</p>

    <p>In this paper, we examined how a map for information and systems in education should be designed for users who are not engaged in research activities at JSiSE, such as those in business and industry, teachers in public education, researchers in other fields, and learners. We proposed several images of the map, assuming that the map would be drawn based on the users' interests. We also discussed the data structure that would enable the creation of the maps we proposed. Based on these ideas, we plan to develop maps that will promote dialogue to generate further questions by connecting research questions in this field to the interests of people other than JSiSE researchers.</p>

    <p>This study aims to estimate the number of backup workers required to continue production when the infection parameters change to various situations. Enough workers are necessary to run the production site. However, it is difficult to estimate the number of backup workers because of the complexity of the production site and the sudden absence of workers by infectious. In this paper, we used an Agent-based modeling production site infection simulator to compare changes in the number of backup workers under the following conditions: two virus types, three mask-wearing situations, and two backup target ranges. The results show the infection parameters including the duration of each symptom period are important to estimate the number of backup workers, the backup workers with masks need to be available for 10-25% of the production site, and the backup target range should be determined in combination with measures to reduce the probability of infection.</p>

    This study aims to explore effective methods for promoting university enrollment in regional areas by adjusting enrollment quotas and introducing new scholarships in university entrance exams. Despite attempts to limit university enrollment in urban areas, enrollment remains concentrated in these regions, so it is necessary to implement additional measures.To address this issue, we propose offering new scholarships targeted at urban students to encourage enrollment in regional universities. To evaluate the potential impact of these measures, we employ agent-based simulation to simulate university entrance exams and estimate the effects of quota distribution and scholarship allocation on the number of regional students. Our findings indicate that while the new scholarship alone has limited impact on regional enrollment, when combined with preferential quota allocation for regional universities, it leads to an increase in enrollment in regional core cities.

    The purpose of this study is to develop an engineering approach for service providers to ensure quick business adaptability and responsiveness to the external environment in order to improve their marketability. We identify the following management functions that service providers should consider: functions for balancing the value of multiple stakeholders, for accelerating market understanding, and for growing the business team. We propose a method of designing value structures, exploring needs, and accumulating business knowledge to realize these functions. We find that the proposed method is effective for business teams to accelerate market understanding and value creation by using case study.

These keywords and papers would reflect the frontier of JSiSE research topics; I hope this paper encourages non-members of JSiSE related to these topics to submit to JSiSE journal.</p>

We applied an infection simulator to the production site using agent-based modeling and estimated the number of infected people and the number of backup workers. In this paper, we show the effects of the initial infected person and the backup target range in the simple cell production field. The result shows, the initial infected worker should be chosen from the amount of involvement with other workers, the backup target range needs to be adjusted according to the scale of the production site.</p>

    本研究の目的は,中学校の確率の授業で扱われる「2個のコイン投げ」の課題を反復試行の基礎として捉え,5回の反復試行を用いた「5人の血液型の問題」教材を開発し,その授業を行った.また,その授業後,反復試行を用いた判断ができるかどうかの小テストを行った.その結果,授業では積極的に問題解決に取り組んでいたが,比率が同じで,試行回数が違う反復試行の問題(10回中表が8回出る確率をP(A),30回中表が24回出る確率P(B)として,その値の大小比較)においての回答を分析すると,両方の確率が同じであると判断した生徒が40人/50人の76.9%という結果を得た.生徒の選択理由としては,「8/10=24/30 よってP(A)=P(B)」,「Aの場合のものを3倍するとBと等しくなるから」というように,全事象(間違った)と個別事象の比率を基に判断していることが解った.

    <p>Evidence Based Policy Making (EBPM) has been attracting attention for policymaking in Japan. In order to realize EBPM, it is essential to have data as evidence. However, itis costly to collect such data, and it is difficult to design data and analysis to determine what kindof data is best. we cannot wait until we have enough usable data to implement EBPM. Therefore,it is necessary to combine empirical research methods such as quasi-experiments and theoreticalresearch such as Agent Based Simulation (ABS), and to develop a method to analyze the data.In this paper, we will discuss the concept and how it can be applied to the analysis of EBPMeven when sufficient data is not available. This paper presents the concept and the results of theanalysis using a prefectural dental health ordinance as a case study.</p>

    The trading team of a financial institution consists of traders with various experiences and knowledge, and they trade according to their market views. A leader leads the team, and intervenes in the members' decision with his/her own views on the market. Although the trading team is initially diverse, it can become a uniform or a diverse team depending on the leader's intervention. This study will utilize Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) techniques to model the effects of leader intervention on organizational characteristics to clarify the impact of leader behavior on trading team performance. This study will report the results of interviews conducted with trading team leaders on the actual investment situation, keeping in mind Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) techniques, to clarify the impact of leader behavior on trading team performance and organizational characteristics.

    本研究の目的は,中学校の確率の授業で扱われる「2個の硬貨投げ」の課題についての教師用教材の作成と,その教材に対する大学生の反応について分析を行うことにある.教師用教材では,確率の授業でよく使われる,実験を行い,その実験の結果から,新たな知見を得る授業場面をシナリオとして設定し,そのシナリオの中での教師の発言や授業の組み立て方について,教師が気づき,研修を深めることを目的としている.そのため,教師の発言の裏に隠されている判断の適否や知識の間違いについて気づくことができるかを,大学生を対象に調査を行った.その結果,授業の適否については,67.9%の学生が間違っていると指摘し,埋め込まれた間違いに気づくことができた.

    The mission of service providers is to maximize the value of their business by repeatedly interacting with the market and adapting their services to the market, starting with a hypothesis. This study proposes a design to construct a business hypothesis testing tool for service providers. Specifically, we will design a concept for a tool that combines bottom-up multi-agent simulation and participatory game simulation methods based on the P2M framework. In this study, we will examine what can be simulated and where the difficulties lie in the tools in such a design, using an actual project as an example.

    <p>本研究の目的は,小学校のデータ活用領域における,教師からの課題提示についての特徴を明らかにするところにある.研究対象としたのは,算数の研修において,協働的な問題解決型マンガ教師用教材を用いた時のワークシートの結果である.ワークシートは,マンガ教材に掲載している若手教師が行った課題提示に対して,生徒が反応した場面にフォーカスし.そのような行動が起こった原因と自分なりの解決法を聞いた.その結果,知識活用や生徒の活動を誘導する指導についての評価が多く,知識活用や生徒の活動を誘導することで,1つの解答に導こうとする傾向が強く,児童の円滑な問題解決に重きを置いている傾向があることを得た.</p>

    <p>We propose new Problem/Project Based Learning (PBL) prior learning materials using Manga Case Methods. The proposed method consists of Manga Case, question sets, and a table of questions and abilities. With the table, PBL instructors can choose question sets to improve the PBL abilities that learners lack. We conducted experiments on prior learning with the proposed method with 22 first-year university students specializing in management who have never taken any PBL classes. We used two types of question sets, each designed to improve different PBL abilities. We compared questionnaire results to confirm the effect of these experiments. The results show that the proposed method improves a series of PBL abilities like "ability to identify challenges" and "ability to evaluate and utilize information." The proposed method improves PBL abilities by changing the question sets and was found to improve PBL abilities in a three-hour workshop (1.5 hours of 2 units).</p>

    <p>We discuss how a system to support the facilitation efforts of inexperienced case leaders can be brought close to reality. We begin by considering methods to support facilitation efforts directed at novices. For this purpose, we conduct two tests. Using the test results, we propose that as one capability of a support system, the system should include some mechanism for recommending participants found by pretesting to already have a high level of knowledge, and that such recommended participants be given particular encouragement by the facilitator to externalize their discoveries. Also, the system should include some mechanism for recommending how to split up group members based on pretest results. By this mechanism, we can provide each group with a good balance of participant skill levels, including participants with a high skill level, and such an arrangement should encourage the groups in learning occurrence by letting them discover a new viewpoint.</p>

    This paper presents a real time workers' behavior analyzing system using wearable sensors which combine Bluetooth low energy beacon (Beacon) and acceleration sensor to measure production progress and work history data in a cellular manufacturing system. It takes a lot of cost to collect those data on the cellular manufacturing line where workers' work is mainly conducted. For the purpose, we first built an experimental cellular manufacturing line and collected workers' behavioral data. Next, we developed our system and determined analyzing parameters using workers' behavioral data. Finally, we built another experimental cellular manufacturing line, and we measured production progress and work history data from our system. We then compared the result with a conventional visual method using video. The results revealed that our system measured the productivity data in the cellular manufacturing line which does not use a machine, and we could gather production progress and work history data more quickly than the conventional method. We believe that our system will make it possible to increase the efficiency of the supply chain system, to get a quick feedback in daily production, and to improve production.

    <p>In this paper, we propose an augmented reality (AR) system with a leaser show device as a hands-on display at a science museum. The AR system provides virtual information which learners can handle visual explanation on an exhibited item. Accordingly, the learner certainly understand his/her knowledge through the AR display without any modification to the item and/or the existing displayed explanation. Using the AR system, we have conducted intensive experiments for children visitors at Gamagori Museum of Earth, Life and the Sea". In the experiments, we have evaluated the following points: i) the AR display makes learners interested in the exhibited item; ii) students can easily handle the AR display; and iii) the AR display is useful for learners to construct their knowledge. As a result, we conclude that the AR display system enabled learners to construct their knowledge in reality. And that the system makes learners interested in the exhibited items. </p>

    This paper presents an agent-based simulation model to analyze performance of organization with heterogeneous members. A hierarchical landscapes model with organizational and personal landscapes is proposed and it puts difference of skills and values into difference of personal landscapes. The use of this model shows that an organization needs to have a certain amount of diverse members to improve the whole organizational utility under the changing environment. This is because while the uniform members stay at a state with higher individual utility even if there are diverse members in the organization, the diverse members discover a new state with higher organizational utility and then take others to that state.

    本研究ではまず、生徒の素朴な推論を基にしながら、Statistical and Probabilistic Reasoningができるようにしていく教材の開発を進め、同時に教師用教材の開発を行う。
    「統計的・確率的推論教材の開発と実践」では、教材開発を進めるに当たり、2つのアプローチをとる。1つは、PBL(Project-based Learning)の教材開発である。2つ目は、教師の方からデータを示し、その中でのデータを用いた推論を行う教材である。また、実践研究としては、データを活用した授業における、協働学習での生徒の知識活用を捉えるための評価方法の開発を行っていく。
    授業展開をできるようなマンガ教材の開発を目的としている.初年度では,統計的,確率的な推論において基本となる測定値の誤差に関する研究と,中学校1年生の理科の第一分野である「おもりの重さとバネの伸びについての実験」における実験データの処理や解釈についての教材開発を行った.「誤差」についての研究では,統計的推論の礎となっている正規分布や最小二乗法が古典的誤差論によってもたらされたことから,誤差を系統誤差と偶然誤差にわけ,偶然誤差については,ガウスの3つの誤差の公理を基にした学習の可能性を探った.これについては,近畿大学教育論叢35号2巻,36号1巻においてまとめている.教材開発としては,教師や教職を目指す学生向けのマンガ教材を開発した.中学校で行われた授業でのデータを基にした教材と,大学生が実際に行った実験のデータを用いた教材を3パターン開発した.1つは,生徒が実験結果をもとに発表し,それに対する教師の助言のあり方を問う教材.あと2つは,測定結果をまとめた表を教師が提示し,その後の展開を考えさせる教材で,途中のグラフが違うパターンのものである.統計的推論,確率的推論を用いる教材の開発と,それを基にした授業の開発を行っていく.
    統計的推論,確率的推論を用いた教材開発については,今後の課題であるが,実験後のデータの扱いや解釈等において,統計を用いることでの教師が注意すべき点についてのケース教材の作成を行うことができ,その教材を用いた実験授業も行い,その結果をまとめることができる段階まで来ているため.
    統計的推論,確率的推論を用いる教材の開発と,それを基にした授業の開発を行っていく.理科との教材では,大学生に行った結果の分析を行い,教材のブラッシュアップしていくことを今年度行っていく.

    ビジネスのSituation Awarenessスキルを評価するためにKey Paragraph Awareness Testの開発とその自動採点手法の開発を目的とする.提案手法では,評価対象者にショートケースを読ませ,どの情報に気づき,理解し,予測したかを記述させ,その解答を評価する.
    以下の効果が望める.(1)ビジネスの外部環境と内部環境や人間関係などを端的な文章で表現可能.(2)段落の入れ替えにより,評価対象者のレベルに合わせたテスト難易度調整が可能.(3)ビジネスにおける他のテーマやビジネス以外の分野への展開性が高まる.
    本研究は,ショートケースを利用したシチュエーション・アウェアネス・スキルの評価手法の開発を目的とする.本年度は,ビジネススクールを対象としたプロトタイプ教材の実証実験を行った.プロトタイプ教材では,教材の汎用性を高めるために,オンラインでも実施可能な形態となっている.共同研究先のビジネススクールのオンライン学習環境で学生の実験協力者を募り,210件の解答データを収集した.この解答データに関しては現在分析中である.また,感染症の社会シミュレーションを題材とした教材を開発し,その成果を“Data Science in an Agent-Based Simulation World”として,2023 IEEE International Conference on Teaching, Assessment and Learning for Engineering (TALE)で発表を行った.提案教材では,ABSモデルとABSストーリーから構成される.本教材を用いることで,学習者はデータサイエンティストが行う典型的なタスク(因果推論、データ理解、仮説構築、データ収集、データ整理、データ分析、仮説検証)を段階的に疑似体験できることを示した.また,提案教材は,因果推論を学習目標とし,感染症をABSのモデルテーマとしているが,ABSは様々な社会現象を再現するモデルとして用いられており,その表現範囲は極めて広い.さらに,本教材を拡張し,スーパーマーケットの社会シミュレーションを題材とした教材を開発した.この教材では,マンガに埋め込まれた情報に対するシチュエーション・アウェアネス・スキルを評価するため仕組みが埋め込まれており,授業にて実証実験を行っている.
    プロトタイプの開発も完了し,実証実験を行い,データの収集まで完了した.
    また,昨年度までの成果をまとめ,国際会議にて発表を行った.
    おおむね予定通りの進展である.
    本年度は,実証実験で収集したデータの分析を行い,その結果を元に提案手法の確立を目指す.
    また,別のアプローチから開発した手法に関しても実証実験を行う予定である.

    診療前の待ち時間に、診療に直接関係しない雑談も含めた話し相手になることで、患者による医療従事者へのリスペクト行動としてのごまかしを補正したり、患者が提供を躊躇する事項を信頼構築により引き出せたりするエージェントを作り出そうとしている。本研究では、患者が自身の情報を渡しても良いと思えるエージェントの特性を明らかにするとともに、機微情報を扱う場合も患者が身構えること無くある程度長い時間の対話が可能で、その対話の中で整合的な情報を入手できるような対話システムを作る
    医療用対話システムとして、2つの方向で研究を行った。1つは、対話機構に雑談をいれるものである。医療現場においては、患者はなからずしも医療に関する話のみするのではなく、雑談が大きな割合を占めている。これを実現するために、患者の対話が医療モードなのか、雑談モードであるのかを判別し、その判別に従って2つのモードの対話を行う仕組みとした。このシステムを歯科の現場にて実施し、フィールドで対話を採録した。その結果、現状での判別精度は8割弱であり、まだ改善が行う必要がある事がわかったが、対話において雑談があることは満足度を高めることもわかった。2つ目の方向は対話においてキャラクターの存在が対話したくなるのか、打ち切りたくなるのか、または信頼度を高めるのかを、キャラクターの特徴をつけて調査した。具体的には医療従事者を性別、色別、年齢別で用意し、そのキャラクターに対してEDという症例対し自己開示できそうかどうかを調査した。結果、開示できそうなキャラクターは男性と女性では年齢や職種に違いがあることがわかった。さらに、男性・女性のどちらにも見えるキャラクターにおいて、投資できるかも調査した。その結果、中性的なキャラクターは、調査協力者の性別に解釈され、その結果に従って投資行動が行われる事もわかった。これらのことから、キャラクターが意思決定には大きな影響を与えており、医療においてキャラクターのデザインをどのようにするのかさらなる調査が必要な事もわかった。また、キャラクターの背景にも留意し、背景においてキャラクターの特徴を強める背景、弱める背景の調査を行った。その結果、キャラクターを強化する具象物でなくても強化することがあることがわかった。
    長崎大学の協力者により、調査フィールドの協力を得られる事になったので、フィールドデータの採取が可能になった。また、対話機構の方針が決まり、研究方向が定まったこと。キャラクターに関しては、調査方法が定まったことから、実験デザインが明確になったこと。
    対話機構に関しては、モード切替の精度を上げること、また、対話システムからも患者に話題を提供したりする対話主導権をどのようにいれると、よりスムースに対話ができるのかを探索する。また、キャラクターに関しては、患者の年齢層やチャットシステムとのふれあい度合いだけでなく、緊迫度などによっても変わると考えられるので、条件を変えて調査を行う。

    In this study, we created three types of teaching materials for teachers that show scenarios of student problem-solving situations in a "Hypothesis Testing" class in Mathematics I. One type of teaching materials is for students to make a decision based on the results of an experiment, and the other type is for students to make a decision by calculating probabilities.
    In addition, we have developed teaching materials for teachers that show the students' presentations in the "Hypothesis Testing" and "Two Coin Toss" classes in cartoon form. Furthermore, with the background of applying mathematical concepts to the study of other subjects, we developed teaching materials for the use of "probability of many trials" in a science hook experiment. These teaching materials mainly reflect on the teacher's response to the student's presentation. They are teaching materials that consider responses to presentations through simulated experiences. All of them are open to the public.

    Manga materials were created as a method to accurately grasp the actual situation of survey targets by providing them with information related to the survey. In developing this method, we examined the method of presenting the content of the cartoons and the creation of pictures and dialogues in order to create guidelines for the type of cartoons that should be created. As a result, there was no agreement between the subjectivity of the participants' preferred presentation and the acquisition of information. In addition, removing some of the story-related dialogue from the pictures and dialogue was more effective in terms of information comprehension. In addition, the educational materials using this method were applied to athletes and middle and high school students, and were evaluated as bringing out more of the actual situation than previous educational materials.

    The results of this study are as follows. (1) Interviews were conducted with research collaborators and cooperating institutions regarding athletes' media response training, and case study materials were created based on the perspectives obtained. (2) An evaluation experiment was conducted on top athletes using the developed teaching materials. The experimental results indicated the possibility of measuring the media response skills necessary for the athletes assumed above. (3) We conducted interviews with business schools, and created a rubric of the perspectives that are emphasized in education in corporate management decision-making, and of the goals that students achieve at each stage of their education in relation to these perspectives. (4) Based on the rubric, short case study materials were developed.

    We developed new Problem/Project Based Learning (PBL) learning materials with Manga Case Methods. The proposed method consists of Manga Case, question sets, and a table of questions and abilities. With the table, PBL instructors can choose question sets to improve the PBL abilities that learners lack. We conducted experiments on prior learning with the proposed method. We use two types of question sets, each set of which is designed to improve different PBL abilities. We compared the questionnaire results to confirm the effect of those educations. The results show that the proposed method improves a series of PBL abilities like "ability to identify challenges” and “ability to evaluate and utilize information.” The proposed method improves PBL abilities by changing the question sets and was found to improve PBL abilities in a three-hour workshop (1.5 hours of 2 units).

    The purpose is to perform "evaluation in knowledge use type class" and "preparation of teaching materials for teacher education" and evaluation in statistical education in primary and secondary education. "Evaluation in knowledge-based class" is a card to visualize how students' statistical problem solving, in particular, "utilization of knowledge" in two-group comparison judgment, is performed. We developed type knowledge utilization tool and worksheet type knowledge utilization tool. From the results of this tool, the students obtained all the representative values, made comparisons based on the magnitudes of the values, and caught the representative value majority decision that they decided by their majority decision. In “Creating teaching materials for teaching and its evaluation”, we developed teaching teaching that incorporates the aforementioned findings, measured the practice and effects, and showed that it has educational effects.
