教育の国際化が異なるレベルにおいて,どのようなメカニズムで起きるのか,特に制度論的な視点から研究しています。これまでは日本の国際バカロレア導入をめぐる政策過程を明らかにして参りました。現在は,そうした政策的意図と教育現場での教師の実践との多様な関係に焦点を当てて研究を行っております。私自身,学位取得から日も浅くまだ駆け出し研究者の身ですが,院生や若手研究者の皆様と近い目線で一緒に研究活動を盛り立てていけるよう尽力して参ります。センターを起点として,日本の教育がグローバル化していけるよう,またそれと同時に,そのグローバル化がもつ意味合いを内省できるよう一助となれましたら幸甚に存じます。

    This study delves into the perceptions of teachers regarding the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in Japan. Through a combination of surveys targeting parents and interviews with educators, the study seeks to understand the role and impact of the IB in Japanese educational settings. The findings of the investigation indicate that teachers predominantly utilize the IB framework to establish a conducive and secure environment for students to engage in their educational pursuits. Moreover, the study sheds light on the nuanced ways in which policy objectives manifest and evolve within individual schools, underscoring the significance of examining education policy implementation at the grassroots level. Through its exploration of teachers' perspectives and practices within the IB context, this research contributes valuable insights to the study of educational policy.
