    A temperature-dependent visco-hyperelastic formulation is proposed based on a Eulerian finite element method for large-deformation and multimaterial problems, which is pertinent in the application to pressure-sensitive adhesives. All the basic equations are computed in the Eulerian description because it allows arbitrarily large deformations. This formulation employs Simo's finite-strain viscoelastic model, where hyperelasticity is modeled as a novel strain-energy function of the left Cauchy-Green deformation tensor. The left Cauchy-Green deformation tensor is temporally updated from the Eulerian velocity field. Temperature dependence is described with the time-temperature superposition principle. To validate the proposed approach, we simulated tests of uniaxial tension with various tensile speeds and temperature conditions and performed a steel-ball-drop test on an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive.

    This paper presents a temperature-dependent visco-hyperelastic analysis scheme for pressure-sensitive adhesive with an Eulerian finite element method. All the basic equations are numerically solved in the Eulerian framework because it allows arbitrarily large deformations.     This paper describes an Eulerian formulation for solid-fluid interaction dynamics. A computational mesh control can be divided into Lagrangian and Eulerian solutions. Although the Lagrangian and Eulerian solution has been generally adopted for deformation of solid and flow of fluid respectively, the highly distorted Lagrangian mesh cannot retain numerical accuracy for flexible solid material. The present approach establishes one governing equation for both solid and fluid models using mixture theory assuming incompressibility in the full Eulerian framework. Hyperelasticity for solid and Newtonian fluid are employed in the constitutive equations. A discretization of the proposed formulation for solid-fluid interaction dynamics is based on an explicit finite element method. The explicit finite element method reduces computational cost, except that the finite different method instead of the finite element method is used to solve Poisson and advective equations. We test the validity of the established formulation in the two repressentative solid-fluid interaction examples including flexible solid.

    We explore the potential of computational engineering to create new functions in vehicle body structures, by addressing some topics such as data compatibility, humanfriendly structures, Eulerian methods, and 3D generative AI. We argue that computational engineering is evolving from a replacement for experiments to a driver of innovation for vehicle body structures, and that it is essential to incorporate data science, such as machine learning and AI, into computational engineering. We also demonstrate some examples of numerical simulations using supercomputers and Eulerian methods, as well as the feasibility study of 3D generative AI that takes into account structural mechanical parameters. We conclude by outlining the research challenges and opportunities for the future of computational engineering for vehicle body structures.

    次世代超並列計算機環境を想定して、流体運動と構造変形が双方向連成しあう問題を対象に、両者を統一的に扱う解析手法を構築する。流体・構造統一オイラー方程式を採用し、階層直交格子を適用することで、強連成問題に対して超並列スケーリングし、かつ複雑形状に対応できるアルゴリズムを研究開発する。流体と構造の界面捕捉にはラグランジュ粒子法を採用することで、既存のオイラー構造解析の欠点を回避し、膜やシェル構造への対応を可能とする。提案手法を産業界でみられる複雑形状を有するシェルや膜構造の空力不安定問題に適用することで、次世代デジタルエンジニアリング環境を支援するシミュレーションのフレームワーク構築を目指す。
    平成31年度~令和3年度の3年間で、研究課題1)流体・構造統一オイラー解法のフレームワーク構築、2)アルゴリズムの高速化と超並列チューニング、3)シェル構造物流体連成問題に対するMaterial Point Method(MPM法)の確立、4)ものづくり分野での実証解析に段階的に取り組む。1)3)に関しては,マーカー粒子を用いたオイラー型流体・構造統一解法に対してリファレンス・マップ法を新たに定式化し,その精度検証を行った. 2)については,「富岳」を用いて,先ず,単体性能の計測を行った.開発した圧縮性流体アルゴリズムに対して,ベンチマーク問題としてキャビティ計算を行った.1コアメモリグループ(CMG)に対して1MPIプロセスを割り当て,1ノード4CMG(4MPIプロセス)での性能を計測した結果,3.59倍の加速性能を得た.この時,ピーク性能に対して1CMGで7.09%,1ノードで6.38%の性能を得た.並列性能に対しては,1次元方向に領域を拡張した問題に対して,ウィークスケーリングを実施し,1ノードから27,648ノードまで解析を行った.この時,1ノードに対する27,648ノードのスケーリングは91.07%と良好な結果が得られた.これは単体性能,並列性能とも,この研究で提案している階層直交格子に基づくデータ構造とアルゴリズムの有効性を示すものである.尚,計算規模としては最大217億セル,4.5PFLOPSまで対応可能であることも確認できた.4)に対しては,昨年に引き続き,自動車課題としてボンネット付近から発生する狭帯域音(フィードバック音)の直接空力解析を行った.昨年度,「京」(0.2mm解像度,20億セル)で,狭帯域音の発生には成功したが,ピーク音圧等で実験との不一致があった.そこで今年度は0.1mm解像度,110億セルの解析を進め,改善の見通しが立った.
    1) 3)マーカー粒子を用いたオイラー型流体・構造統一解法に対してリファレンス・マップ法を新たに定式化し,その精度検証を行った.本研究の数値解析手法では,固体の構成方程式以外は有限体積法により空間方向に離散化され,空間固定の直交メッシュ上で計算される.一方,固体領域はマーカー粒子によって表され,マーカー粒子はリファレンス・マップと呼ばれる固体の初期の位置ベクトルおよび偏差応力テンソルの情報を保持する.本研究では,リファレンス・マップをマーカー粒子からオイラーメッシュに補間し,オイラーメッシュ上で変形勾配テンソルを計算することで,固体のひずみを評価する.構造-流体連成問題で頻繁に参照されるベンチマーク問題で本手法の妥当性と有用性を検証した.エネルギーの時刻歴,固体変形等を参照解と比較した結果,従来法と比較して高精度な数値解が得られていることを確認した.さらに,従来法では数値不安定が生じていた問題,すなわち固体と流体の界面において速度場が不連続な問題も安定的に計算が行えることが確認された.2)については,コストの高い粘性項と対流項について,カーネル部分の1CMGあたりの演算性能及びその上限見積もりを行った。上限見積値の計算は、ソース及びシステムのメモリアクセス量と演算数の比(Byte per Flop)を元に算出した。チューニングの成果により,粘性項のピーク性能比はオリジナル7.03%から13.95%に向上した。見積もり上は、更に2.7%ほどの向上が見込める。対流項については、ソースのメモリアクセス量と演算数の比がシステム値を下回るため、このカーネルはメモリスループットネックではない。従って、性能上限見積もり値を算出することはできないが、ソフトウェアパイプライニングやSIMD化といった演算性能チューニングにより大幅な性能向上が見込める。以上の通り,研究は予定通り進捗している.
    1)3)リファレンス・マップ法を用いた構造-流体連成解法は確立できたが,鋼構造などの固体のヤング率が高い問題の場合,固体の応力波による時間増分の制約が厳しくなり,膨大な時間ステップ数を要する.よって今後は,鋼構造などのより実用的問題の解析を可能とするため,固体の応力波による時間増分制約を緩和する必要がある.そこで,陰的時間積分法の導入,およびその時間増分の緩和効果を定量的に検証する予定である.また弾塑性などの変形履歴依存性のある金属材料を取り扱うために,履歴変数の新たな取り扱い方法を検討する.さらに今度のその重要性が増すと考えられる樹脂材料に関する導入を開始する.2)については,スパコン「富岳」を用いて,基本アルゴリズムの高速化と大規模並列化への対応をさらに進める.SIMD並列演算やキャッシュメモリを効率的に活用できるようチューニングすることで,最終的にはスパコン「京」に対してノード性能で100倍以上の加速を目指す.4)については,開発予定のシミュレーションフレームワークの有用性と実用性評価の為に、機械分野および土木・建築分野におけるものづくりでの実問題を対象に、そのFSを行う。実証解析課題として今年度は,建築物と周囲流との連成による建物加振問題に着目する.具体的には,連続体を仮定した柔構造物として角柱を対象に,流れと構造変形が強連成振動を起こす解析を行う.並行して連携機関による風洞実験を実施し,シミュレーション結果の精度検証を行い,手法の妥当性と実用化に向けた課題抽出を行う.
