    本研究では、高速画像計測による少し先の未来を予測する「未来視」を基盤とし、サイバー空間を通して、本来の人の運動機能を超越した動作を遠隔ロボットがフィジカル空間で生成する人-機械システムを提案する。また、提案するシステムが人の運動能力や運動学習記憶に与える影響を行動神経科学に基づき解析した上で、スポーツ教育・指導への応用を検討し、人の潜在的運動能力を引き出すスポーツトレーニングの研究開発に挑戦する。新しいテクノロジーを駆使し、運動が苦手な子供にも運動の楽しさを教えるなど、本研究はスポーツ教育としての発展性もあり、次世代のスポーツ教育・指導の基盤技術となり得る。
    高速ビジョンによる実時間画像処理により、操作対象の少し先の状態量を推定し、操作するロボットの動作を修正するヒトー機械システムを開発した。修正された運動感覚がハプティクスデバイスを介してヒトへフィードバックされることにより、ヒトの運動学習を促進させることを狙ったものである。システムの構成としては、3自由度ロボットアーム、制御用PC、高速ビジョンシステム,力覚入出力デバイスから成る。ロボットアームはヒトが操作する力覚入出力デバイスの先端位置情報を基に、各関節のアクチュエータが制御される。開発したシステムには、ヒトが遠隔ロボットを介して卓球のリフティング動作を行うタスクを想定した力覚動作教示手法が実装されている。
    卓球のリフティングを課題例として、開発したシステムを用いた評価実験を通して行動神経科学に基づいた解析を行い、開発したヒトー機械システムが人の運動能力や運動学習記憶へ与える影響を調査した。提案システムを使用しないグループA(システムによるアシストなし、健常成人6名)と使用するグループB(システムによるアシストあり、健常成人6名)の2つの被験者群に分けた。それぞれの被験者群は104回タスクを試行する実験を3セット行った。グループBの2セット目に力覚教示が行われた。力覚教示を行わない1セット目から3 セット目にかけての評価指標の改善量を導出し、改善量が大きいほどヒトの運動学習が進んだと判断した。実験結果の解析・考察により、ヒトが生来持つ学習能力を大幅に超える運動感覚の提示により、運動学習が促進させることが示唆された。
    研究実施計画通り、システム構築が完了し、順調に実験データ収集と実験データの解析・考察も進んでいるため。
    基礎実験としてのデータ収集、データ解析は概ね完了しているが、被験者の更なる追加を検討する。また、この基礎実験の結果を踏まえて、スポーツトレーニング支援への応用を議論し、支援システムのプロトタイプ試作を進める。

    In this study, a wirelessly powered multi-channel neurostimulator was developed with the purpose of applying selective FES to peripheral nerves: the peroneal nerve and the tibial nerve in a rat. The neurostimulator was designed that power could be supplied wirelessly, from a transmitter coil to a receiver coil. The receiver coil was connected to the peroneal and tibial nerves in the rat. The stimulation of the nerves was switched according to the frequency of the transmitter signal. Dorsal/plantar flexion of the rat ankle joint was selectively induced by the developed neurostimulator. The rat ankle joint angle was controlled by changing the stimulation electrode and the stimulation current using a visual feedback control system.

    Recently, transplantation of embryonic motor neurons into peripheral nerve combined with Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) has been used to restore functional muscle activity for denervated muscle after peripheral nerve injury. However, conventional electrode could not achieve multiple stimulation of nerves and stable FES for long term because scar tissue was generated around the electrode.
    In this research, a wirelessly powered neurostimulator with two electrodes was developed. The neurostimulator uses a magnetic field resonance method to supply power wirelessly from a transmitter coil to a receiver coil. The receiver coil is connected to peroneal/tibial nerves, and implanted into a rat body. Planter/dorsal flexions of rat ankle was generated by the developed neurostimulator. Flexible micro electrode was also developed to prevent scar tissue generation using a polyimide film. Insertion of fabricated micro electrode into a rat peroneal and tibial nerves was achieved.

    In this research project, with the aim of improving efficiency in manipulation using a dual robotic arm, we have conducted research as a basis for applying and deploying high-speed manipulation. In the first fiscal year, the construction of the virtual connecting manipulation method, the derivation of the virtual connecting constraint required for the proposed method, the construction of the high-speed dual robotic arm system, and the basic motion test of the robotic system were conducted. In the next fiscal year, verification of the proposed virtual connecting manipulation is performed using a high-speed dual robotic arm system to realize robot juggling in which the object is operated at high speed with a dual robotic arm, and the direction of future research in various scenes has been discussed.

    This study proposed the concept of time-division multithread viewpoint control in which an ultrafast active vision system can function as multiple virtual pan-tilt cameras by accelerating sensing, computing, and actuation for target tracking, and systematized multithread target tracking theory that integrates high-speed image recognition and frame-by-frame viewpoint path planning. We developed an ultra-high-speed active vision system that can independently perform viewpoint control at hundreds of frames per second as time-division multithreaded processes, and verified the effectiveness of multithreaded high-speed vision sensing that "alternates" to dozens of virtual tracking visions by showing several surveillance applications in which spatio-temporal densities of multiple viewpoints are simultaneously controlled.
