人間自動車系の研究に用いるドライビングシミュレータ（以下，DS）として，人間の五感の中で最も多くの情報の元となっている視覚情報を重視し，大型の高輝度高精細ビジョンによる没入型立体視ディスプレイを用いて走行環境を再現するDS を構築した．本報では，DS の機能要件とその効果について報告する．

距離感や奥行き感をリアルに再現する大型5 面没入型立体視ドライビングシミュレータによる追従走行実験により，先行車に比べ35％から71％の燃料消費量増大を確認した．更にドライバ運転操作の比較と車両加減速特性の変更検討により，車両加減速特性の遅れ要素が追従走行時の燃料消費量の増大要因となることが分かった．

A hip-knee-ankle-foot orthotic system called 'HALO'(Hip and Ankle Linked Orthosis) for paraplegic walking has been developed in our previous study. Each ankle joint of the HALO system is linked with a medial single joint via a wire which allows both feet of the orthosis to stay always parallel to the floor during walking and assists swinging the leg. The tests of the HALO system demonstrated that it allows smoother walking and easy don/doff. In order to improve further the characteristics of the previous design, we started a new project called pHALO aiming at further reducing of the energy expenditure during walking. As a difference from the previous solution where ankle joints were restrained, the new solution will incorporate two actuators to control the ankle joints angles. As an intermediate step from the development of the pHALO system, in this study we added to the existing system a feedback PI controller to control the ankle joint angle of the right foot in the push-off phase and conducted an experiment to evaluate the effect of the new design on the walking patterns and energy efficiency. The results showed longer stride length, faster gait speed, smaller variation of the CoG, and less energy consumption.

近年，高齢ドライバによる交通事故が増加している．加齢に伴う身体機能・認知機能の変化の影響が指摘されているが，自動車は高齢者の重要な移動手段であるため，高齢者が安心・安全に運転できるよう支援が必要である．そこで本研究では，高齢ドライバの運転支援を行うドライバエージェントを提案した．エージェントは，情報提供や注意喚起などの運転支援と，運転行動の振り返りにより改善を促すフィードバック支援を行う．本報告では，エージェントによる運転支援方法を検討するため，運転指導員による指導方法の分析を行った．その結果，指導内容の分類と被指導者が受ける印象に関する知見が得られたため，これを報告する．

運転適性検査を用いた高齢ドライバの刺激-反応特性の検討

本研究は，運転支援や機能訓練に役立てる知見を得るために，高齢ドライバの人間特性を多角的に把握することを目的とした．本報告は，そのうち運転適性検査を用いて高齢ドライバの刺激-反応特性を検討した．50代15名，60代40名，70歳以上45名が参加し，全員にインフォームド・コンセントを行った後，認知機能検査や高齢者講習と同種の運転適性検査器を用いて7つの検査を実施した．7つ中4つの検査の反応時間と正答率を用いた分析から，60代以上は刺激数が増加すると反応は遅延し，足反応と刺激数増加が同時に生じる場合には年齢差が顕著になることが示唆された．また，青色に対するパフォーマンス低下が60代以上の反応時間と正答率でみられ，赤色に対しては反応が速くなるという色の効果が示された．以上の結果から，運転適性検査により高齢ドライバの刺激-反応特性が得られ，運転時のパフォーマンス低下につながる要因が示唆された．

This study aimed to develop a simple method that can predict the car-following tendency of the driver. Based on the analysis of the naturalistic driving data, some parameters such as the throttlepedal released timing and the average deceleration by braking were found to be correlated with the braking timing. Therefore, the car-following tendency was predicted by a model with those parameters. The model was evaluated on the public road and it was shown that the proposed method can predict the car-following tendency well within a short distance.

It is important to understand the driver's car-following tendency to enhance the effectiveness as well as the acceptance of advanced driving support systems. If a system can estimate the driver's usual car-following tendency, it can provide avoidance support matched to his/her sense of normal safety driving when the vehicle is approaching a preceding one. Since the car-following tendency varies not only between drivers but also within a driver by the feeling and/or the driving environment, real-time estimation is essential. This study introduces a method that can easily predict the car-following tendency. The method uses such parameters as the throttle-pedal released timing and the braking timing that were found to be correlated from the naturalistic driving data analysis. It was found that the method can predict the car-following tendency within a short distance. We applied the method to a forward collision warning system and confirmed the potential benefit of the system.
