    We discuss the Atiyah-Drinfeld-Hitchin-Manin (ADHM) construction of U(N) instantons in noncommutative (NC) space and give some exact instanton solutions for various noncommutative settings. We also present a new formula which is crucial to show an origin of the instanton number for U(1) and to prove the one-to-one correspondence between moduli spaces of the noncommutative instantons and the ADHM data.

    We discuss the extension of soliton theory and integrable systems to non-commutative spaces, focusing on integrable aspects of non-commutative
    anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations. We present Backlund transformations for the G=U(2) non-commutative anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations and give a wide class of exact solutions of them (not only instanton-type solutions with nite action). We find that one kind of non-commutative determinants,
    quasi-determinants, play a crucial role in the construction of noncommutative solutions. Finally we briefly present some examples of reduction of non-commutative anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations to non-commutative KdV, NLS and Liouville equations. This is partially based on collaboration with C. Gilson and J. Nimmo (Glasgow).

    We present Backlund transformations for the noncommutative anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equation where the gauge group is G=GL(2) and use it to generate a series of exact solutions from a simple seed solution. The solutions generated by this approach are represented in terms of quasideterminants. We also explain the origins of all of the ingredients of the Backlund transformations within the framework of noncommutative twistor theory. In particular we show that the generated solutions belong to a noncommutative version of the Atiyah-Ward ansatz.

    We study exact multi-soliton solutions of integrable hierarchies on noncommutative space-times which are represented in terms of quasi-determinants of Wronski matrices by Etingof, Gelfand and Retakh. We analyze the asymptotic behavior of the multi-soliton solutions and found that the asymptotic configurations in soliton scattering process can be all the same as commutative ones, that is, the configuration of N-soliton solution has N isolated localized energy densities and the each solitary wave-packet preserves its shape and velocity in the scattering process. The phase shifts are also the same as commutative ones. Furthermore noncommutative toroidal Gelfand-Dickey hierarchy is introduced and the exact multi-soliton solutions are given.

    Noncommutative Ward's conjecture is a noncommutative version of the original Ward's conjecture which says that almost all integrable equations can be obtained from anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations by reduction. In this paper, we prove that wide class of noncommutative integrable equations in both (2+1)- and (1+1)-dimensions are actually reductions of noncommutative anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations with finite gauge groups, which include noncommutative versions of Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii-Schiff eq., Zakharov system, Ward's chiral and topological chiral models, (modified) Korteweg-de Vries, Non-Linear Schroedinger, Boussinesq, N-wave, (affine) Toda, sine-Gordon, Liouville, Tzitzeica, (Ward's) harmonic map eqs., and so on. This would guarantee existence of twistor description of them and the corresponding physical situations in N=2 string theory, and lead to fruitful applications to noncommutative integrable systems and string theories. Some integrable aspects of them are also discussed.

    We discuss commuting flows and conservation laws for Lax hierarchies on noncommutative spaces in the framework of the Sato theory. On commutative spaces, the Sato theory has revealed essential aspects of the integrability for wide class of soliton equations which are derived from the Lax hierarchies in terms of pseudo-differential operators. Noncommutative extension of the Sato theory has been already studied by the author and Kouichi Toda, and the existence of various noncommutative Lax hierarchies are guaranteed. In the present paper, we present conservation laws for the noncommutative Lax hierarchies with both space-space and space-time noncommutativities and prove the existence of infinite number of conserved densities. We also give the explicit representations of them in terms of Lax operators. Our results include noncommutative versions of KP, KdV, Boussinesq, coupled KdV, Sawada-Kotera, modified KdV equations and so on.

    We discuss extension of soliton theories and integrable systems into noncommutative spaces. In the framework of noncommutative integrable hierarchy, we give infinite conserved quantities and exact soliton solutions for many noncommutative integrable equations, which are represented in terms of Strachan's products and quasi-determinants, respectively. We also present a relation to an noncommutative anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equation, and make comments on how "integrability" should be considered in noncommutative spaces.

    昨年度に引き続き, 非可換反自己双対 Yang-Mills 方程式のソリトン解の研究を推し進めた. Dauboux変換を用いることで自明解から多重ソリトン解を厳密に構成した. 特に G = GL(2) だが 「エネルギー密度」が実数となるようなソリトン解を具体的に構成した. 1ソリトン解のエネルギー密度は可換空間のものと一致し, 4次元空間内の3次元超平面上にエネルギー局在したドメインウォールであることが示された. さらに多重ソリトンの漸近的振る舞いを考察した. これと平行して可換空間上の G = GL(2) の場合の 1 ソリトン解を大学院生の黄山齊 (Shan-Chi Huang) 氏と一緒に詳しく調べた. 3種の計量 (Euclidean, Minkowski, Ultrahyperbolic) で作用密度が実数となる厳密解を構成した. この解は一般にドメイ ンウォール解と周期解の複合体となるが条件をうまく課すと 、周期性も特異性もない純粋な1 ドメインウォール解となる. ゲージ群をユニタリにできれば現実の素粒子論・宇宙論への応用の可能性が広がるが, 今のところ実現可能なのは Ultrahyperbolic 計量の場合のみである.
    <BR>
    高次元ゲージ理論の特殊な非可換ソリトン解について得られた結果と非可換空間における特異点の除去法について一部の成果を公表した. 高次元のブラックホール解や Bowダイアグラム, 変形量子化の リサージェンス構造について理解を深めた. 一連の成果に関して国内外の研究会・セミナーで積極的に発表し, 幅広い分野の専門家と質疑応答を行った.
    昨年度末の2019年3月に引き続き, 2019年6月にも数週間イギリス周辺を巡ることとなった. 2017年6月に他界した共同研究者 Jon Nimmo 氏を偲ぶ研究会に呼ばれていたのだが, さらにアぜルバイジャンの研究会に招待されたため, Oxford, Edinburghへの滞在を合間に加えて 3 週間弱の出張を行った. これら一連のイギリス滞在は大変有意義であった. 共同研究もこれで大枠が決まり年度末に共著論文として投稿を果たした. Oxford 大学では Lionel Mason 氏・ Jason Lotey 氏と高次元ゲージ理論・高次元ブラックホールについて貴重な議論ができた. Edinburgh 大学では Jose Figueroa-O’Farrill 氏の計らいでセミナーをさせていただき交流を深めた.

    非可換ソリトン散乱の議論には可換空間でのソリトンの結果が必要となる. そのため帰国後に大学院生の黄山齊 (Shan-Chi Huang) 氏と議論していくことになったが, 非自明な可換1ソリトン解の構成は自明でな く, 夏頃からほぼ毎週頭を悩ませていた. 秋頃に学生さんが突破口を見出しさらにうまいアイデアを用いて冬頃 には全貌が明らかになってきた. そのあとも紆余曲折しながら議論を続けているうち結果がどんどん膨らんできたため独立に論文をまとめることとなった.
    新しく発見した反自己双対ヤン・ミルズ方程式のドメインウォール解は大変興味深く, 予想外の展開を見せながら良い方向に向かっている. 来年度はこれらの物理的解釈や応用を展開する予定である. 特にダークマターの起源や場の量子論の新しい摂動論的寄与に関して新しい知見が得られるのではないかと期待している.
