    <p>The purpose of this research is to develop a method for conducting tabletop exercises of the Nankai Trough earthquake extra information to prevent companies from suspending their business activities. The relationship between electricity consumption and the characteristics of local industries is revealed. In addition, we will develop high-density ground motion observation and earthquake response/damage monitoring techniques for buildings to understand the real-time social conditions in the region. Also, we developed scenarios of the situation by practicing the Nankai Trough earthquake extra information workshop and study group tools. As a result, a series of methods were suggested for preliminary countermeasures by practicing the Nankai Trough earthquake extra information tabletop exercises for lifeline operators.</p>

    In the event of a large-scale earthquake, it is important to understand the diverse and complex damage situation in the affected region in real time to make appropriate initial responses, prevent secondary disasters, and make decisions for early recovery. To contribute in such decision making process, we investigated the monitoring of regional seismic motion distribution and the damage state of building groups, and in the future, of dynamic information such as traffic conditions, power demand, and social activities. In this paper, the importance of dense seismic observation is presented based on the test seismic observation of the ground and buildings in an area where industries are concentrated using a Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) seismometer. Furthermore, the disaster monitoring of important facilities is examined.
