    大型プラント内の熱交換器において、高温排熱気塊が風下側の各種装置に吸い込まれる事により装置の性能低下を引き起こすHot Air Recirculation(HAR)が問題になっている。人工物の影響を強く受ける地表付近の気象現象(微気象現象)がHAR発生において重要となると予想される。排熱源をモデル化した流れの数値計算によりHAR発生メカニズムを明らかにし、その予測に必要な気象情報の時空間スケールを同定する。微気象情報と実プラントでの観測結果の比較により、微気象情報に基づくHAR予測が可能であるかを検証する。さらに、微気象シミュレーションによるリアルタイムHAR予測システムのテストを行う。
    大型プラント内の列をなした熱交換器において、高温排熱気塊が風下側の熱交換器や各種装置に吸い込まれる事により装置の性能低下を引き起こすHot Air Recirculation(HAR)と呼ばれる現象が問題になっている。微気象情報を基にHAR現象を予測し各プラント運用を最適化することにより、HAR現象に起因するプラント運用効率の低下を防ぐことができると期待される。HAR発生メカニズムと支配パラメータを解明することを目的として、排熱源をモデル化した流れの直接数値計算(DNS)およびラージエディシミュレーション(LES)を実施した。まず、三次元排熱源構造物を通過する流れのDNSおよびLESの計算コードを構築した。本計算コードは有限差分法を用いたものであり、物体は埋込境界法により取り扱われる。計算コードはMPIにより並列化されており、スーパーコンピュータを用いた大規模数値計算が可能である。計算コードの検証のため、丘陵地形を過ぎる安定密度成層流れの数値計算を行った。丘陵上の乱流統計量が水槽実験結果とよく一致し、本計算コードが物体近傍の乱流現象の解析に有効であることを確認した。また、プラントにおける排熱を模擬した流れとして、噴流による熱拡散現象を対象とした数値計算を行った。流れ場から活発な熱拡散を引き起こす乱流領域を抽出し統計解析するデータ処理コードを構築した。数値計算結果を過去に行われた仮想プラント近傍の流れのシミュレーション結果と比較してHAR発生要因について考察した。次年度以降実施するプラントでの風況観測に向けた打合せを行い、観測に必要な機器を導入し準備を進めた。また、プラントの微気象予測に向けて、観測対象プラントを模擬した仮想プラントの電子データを作成した。
    計算コードの構築が完了し、プラントにおける排熱を模擬した流れの数値シミュレーションを開始することができた。構築したコードが建物などの物体周りの流れの数値計算へ適用可能であることが、丘陵地形を過ぎる安定密度成層流れの数値計算により確認された。また、流れ場から活発な熱拡散を引き起こす乱流領域を抽出し解析する手法についての論文がPhysics of Fluidsに掲載され、次年度以降実施する数値シミュレーションデータの解析準備が整った。また、プラントでの風況観測に向けた準備も順調に進んでいる。こうした本研究課題の取組・成果について「微気象制御学」領域シンポジウムや国内外の学会で発表した。
    本年度に構築した計算コードにより横風中に高温流体を噴出する流れのDNS(Direct Numerical Simulation)およびLES(Large Eddy Simulation)を実施する.計算条件を実プラントにおける過去の観測結果をもとに複数選定する。様々なパラメータに対する計算結果をプラント近傍の流れのシミュレーション結果や観測結果と比較し、HAR現象の発生条件を明らかにする。調和的予測班のMSSG微気象シミュレーション技術によるHAR現象の予測精度について検討する。また,DNSおよびLESによりHAR現象を引き起こす熱拡散の空間・時間スケールを求め、HAR現象の予測に必要な微気象情報の時空間スケールを同定することを目指す。これらの数値計算により予測されるHAR発生要因について検証するため、実プラントにおいて風況計測を行う。

    ○高レイノルズ・高マッハ数格子乱流:
    正方断面を有するテストセクションでは二次流れの影響で下流域での計測ができないことが初年度の計測から明らかになったので、格子下流約4mの場所から円形断面を有するテストセクションに変更して計測を行った。二次縮流による等方性向上も意図した。しかし、計測の結果、矩形断面から円形断面に接続する領域で速度変動強度が一定の減衰率で減衰しないことが明らかとなった。接続部で発生する擾乱あるいは乱流に平均歪が印可されることが原因であると考えられる。よって、以降の実験は従来の矩形断面のテストセクションを用いる。これまでの結果をまとめたものがPhysics of Fluidsに掲載された。動的格子を用いた高レイノルズ数実験を行った。計測結果に風洞の振動に起因するノイズが乗っていることが確認されたので、振動対策を行い再計測を行った。今後計測結果の詳細な解析を行う。無剪断混合層実験においては、高乱流域から低乱流域に輸送される大スケール渦の間欠渦により構造関数のスケーリング則が変化することを明らかにした。結果はPhysics of Fluidsに掲載された。当初計画通り、流路上半分に動的格子を用いた実験も行った。その結果、乱流の間欠性は静的格子による無せん断混合層の方が強いことがわかった。高マッハ数格子乱流のDNSを実行し、乱流生成機構の検討を行った。
    ○高マッハ数噴流の非平衡特性:
    ピストン駆動式シンセティックジェット群により形成される乱流場のPIV計測結果の解析を進めて乱流特性の詳細な検討を行った。さらにマッハ数を上げるためにノズルの改良を行った。
    ○乱流/衝撃波干渉:
    高圧タンクと電磁弁を用いた衝撃波発生装置の設計製作を新たに行い,発生する衝撃波特性を明らかにした。衝撃波進行方向に追い風が存在する場合の衝撃波/乱流干渉のDNSを行い、理論予測と比較した。
    当初の計画通りに研究を遂行し、以下の結果や成果を得た。①格子乱流の風洞実験において下流のテストセクションを円形断面にする改造を行い実験を行ったが、接続部で意図しない乱流特性の変化が認められた。そこで今後の計測は従来の矩形断面のテストセクションを用いる。②格子幅の1000倍以上下流での計測結果をまとめたものがPhysics of Fluidsに掲載された。③動的格子を用いた高レイノルズ数実験を行った。④無剪断混合層の計測結果をまとめたものがPhysics of Fluidsに掲載された。⑤流路上半分に動的格子を用いた無剪断乱流混合層の実験を行った。⑥ピストン駆動式シンセティックジェット群により形成される乱流場のPIV計測結果の解析を進めて乱流特性の詳細な検討を行った。⑦⑥に関してマッハ数向上のためノズルの改良を行った。⑧電磁弁を用いた衝撃波発生装置の設計製作を行い性能評価を行った。⑨衝撃波進行方向に追い風が存在する場合の衝撃波/乱流干渉のDNSを行い、理論予測と比較した。以上より、研究は当初計画通りに進行しており、研究はおおむね順調に進展していると判断される。
    今年度の研究は計画通りほぼ順調に行うことができたため,今後も継続的に研究を発展させる.具体的には,
    ①動的格子を用いた実験により、乱流の積分スケールが主流方向に一定となり、静的格子や一様等方性乱流に対する理論と異なることが昨年度の実験により示された。そこで、この現象を明らかにするため、渦伸長によるエンストロフィの生成と粘性による減衰について詳細な検討を行う。動的格子の動作モードの違いについても検討を行う。
    ②終末減衰近くでいかに乱流の非線形性・非平衡性が消失するのかに関して、新たにDNSを実行する。初期場として格子による後流場を設定し、周期箱の中で時間発展させる。これにより、計測・DNSデータがほとんどない終末減衰域での乱流特性を明らかにする。
    ③2021年3月に非定常風洞が導入されたので、基礎的な流れの計測を行い、格子によって生成される非定常格子乱流場に関する基礎データを収集する。
    ④昨年度までに開発した電磁弁を用いた衝撃波生成装置を非定常風洞に組み込み、衝撃波/非定常乱流干渉の実験を行う。
    ⑤衝撃波が消失する条件下での衝撃波/乱流干渉のDNSを行い、乱流干渉による衝撃波消失メカニズムを明らかにする。

    Direct numerical simulations (DNS) and experiments of turbulent flows were conducted for investigating turbulent/non-turbulent interfacial (TNTI) layers. A stably stratified fluid can support propagation of internal gravity waves. The wave characteristics within the TNTI layer were revealed with DNS of stably stratified shear layers. In the DNS, long elongated flow structures and hairpin vortices were identified in the stably-stratified shear layers. Interaction between turbulence and shock wave was also studied with DNS and experiments, which confirmed that inhomogeneity of turbulence is one of the important factors of the interaction. Turbulent mixing near the TNTI layer was studied with DNS of turbulent jets and boundary layers, and a model for scalar dissipation rate is proposed for low-cost simulations of turbulent reacting flows. Two-color particle image velocimetry system was developed with pulse-operated laser diodes and a new algorithm for color contamination correction.

    Direct numerical simulations (DNS) were performed for stably stratified turbulence and compressible turbulence. Influences of internal gravity waves and pressure waves on turbulent/non-turbulent interfaces were investigated by detecting the turbulent fluid based on vorticity or potential vorticity. A multi-particle interaction model was proposed for molecular diffusion and thermal conduction. The performance of the model was evaluated with the DNS database of turbulent planar jets. The piston jet actuator with single/multiple orifice was experimentally studied with cylinder pressure measurement and flow visualization based on the shadowgraph method. These experiments revealed the relation between the cylinder pressure and jet Mach number.
