We have investigated the influence of donor film structural characteristics such as molecular species, the film thickness, and deposition rate on the external quantum efficiency (EQE) of organic photovoltaics (OPVs). For Zinc phthalocyanine/C60 OPVs, the dependence of the donor film thickness on EQE suggests that the exciton diffusion length plays a key role of increasing EQE.

We have investigated the sorption properties of Iron and Aluminum hexacyanoferrates (FeHCF, AlHCF) nanoparticles for platinum group elements (Ru, Rh, Pd) and Molybdenum (Mo) in nitric acid solution, using XRD and UV-vis/FT-IR spectroscopy in combination with first-principles calculations, and found that Ru, Rh, Pd and Mo are sorbed by substitution with Fe and Al in the framework of FeHCF and AlHCF.

We have found that the electrical conductivity (σ) of C60 thin film can be improved with maintaining a large Seebeck coefficient S by photo-induced C60 polymerization. It is interesting to note that this result is contrary to the trade-off relationship between σ and S. The present finding will contribute to cultivate next-generation high performance thermoelectric materials.
