    Fiberform nanostructured tungsten is formed on tungsten surface by helium plasma irradiation under a specific condition. It is revealed that the optical reflectivity of tungsten is significantly decreased by the formation of nanostructure. We investigate the effects of laser irradiation to the helium irradiated surface on the optical reflectivity. The optical reflectivity is recovered by the laser pulse irradiation to some extent; however, the recovery effects decrease with the number of pulses.

    プラズマプロセッシングや核融合研究において重要な課題となっている気相中で消えるプラズマの物性を明らかにする。電子・イオン再結合(三体再結合,放射再結合)が主要な過程となる再結合プラズマ中の非熱平衡性,電位構造に関連した熱・粒子輸送過程を,直線型高密度プラズマ発生装置を用いた基礎実験とシミュレーションとの相補的な研究により明らかにする。また,振動励起水素分子により駆動される再結合(分子駆動再結合)プラズマ生成に関して,固体壁で生成される振動・回転励起水素分子の影響と同位体効果を明らかにする。さらに,再結合プラズマのパルス応答を高時間分解で調べ,時空間変化を決定する物理・化学過程を明らかにする。

    非接触プラズマ中の電子温度分布関数が非マクスウェル分布となっている原因を明らかにするために,レーザートムソン散乱(LTS)計測,2次元駆動プローブ計測システムの改良をさらに進め,条件付き平均法を用いた電子温度,電子密度,空間電位の時空間分布計測を行った。プラズマ揺動をLTS計測を用いて観測するため、静電プローブと同期させて計測を行い、数 μsという高い時間分解能でのLTS計測信号の再構成と電子温度・電子密度評価に,非接触プラズマでは初めて成功した。さらに,非接触プラズマにおけるダブルプローブ計測の信頼性を明らかにするために, 電流電圧特性に対するプラズマ電位変動、プラズマ抵抗率、電子密度変動の影響を考慮して定量的に評価した。 最適化されたダブルプローブ法で測定された電子温度とLTS計測で測定された電子温度はほぼ一致した。上記の計測システムを用いて,電離フロント近傍のプラズマ揺動と非マクスウェル電子温度分布の関係を明らかにした。
    また,多チャンネルのマイクロ波干渉計,高速カメラならびに2次元駆動プローブ計測システムを用いて,再結合フロント近傍のプラズマ揺動の同時多点計測を行い,揺動の構造とそれに伴う非拡散的粒子輸送現象を調べた。その結果,プラズマの径方向放出に関連した密度揺動は,周波数10-20 kHz程度,周方向モード数mが1であり,磁力線方向のE×B方向の回転速度の減少に伴って,螺旋状の3次元構造を形成していることが明らかになった。さらに,螺旋状のプラズマ放出の前後にはプラズマコラム中心付近に低周波揺動(m=0)が観測され,プラズマ放出現象のトリガーとなっていることが示唆された。
    さらに,LTS計測の光学系の変更になりプラズマ上流部でのプラズマパラメータ計測が可能となり,プラズマ上流に擾乱を与えること無しに,磁力線方向の非接触プラズマの構造変化を系統的に計測した。
    レーザートムソン散乱計測,2次元駆動プローブ計測システム(ダブルプローブ)の改良を行い,条件付き平均法を用いた電子温度,電子密度,空間電位の時空間分布計測を実現し,非接触プラズマ中の電子温度分布関数が非マクスウェル分布となっている原因について研究を進めた。その結果,発生機構として,中性粒子密度上昇に伴い再結合フロント近傍で発生するプラズマ揺動と関連が明らかになった。また,プラズマ揺動の構造が,レーザートムソン散乱計測,プローブ計測システム,マイクロ波干渉計,高速度カメラを用いた同時多点計測により解明された。さらに,下流部のレーザートムソン散乱計測を拡張し,光学系を新たに設計・製作することにより,上流部の計測も可能とした。実験結果とシミュレーション結果との比較研究に関しては少し遅れが見られるものの,以上の成果は前年度の研究推進方策で記述された研究計画をほぼ達成しており,Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion誌などの当該分野において主要な学術論文誌に,7報の査読付学術論文,PSI2018における招待講演を含む12件の学会発表して公表されている。
    以上より,当該研究は概ね順調に進展していると判断した。
    開発した高時間分解のレーザートムソン散乱計測,2次元駆動プローブ計測システムを駆使して,非接触プラズマ再結合フロント近傍の非接触プラズマの時空間変化の系統的な計測を更に進め,非接触プラズマ中の粒子輸送・エネルギー輸送過程を明らかにする。特に,定点レーザートムソン散乱計測と軸方向の可視分光計測を組み合わせることにより,再結合フロント領域の減衰長を明らかにする。
    また,最新の原子分子過程データを取り入れた流体コードを用いたシミュレーションを実施し,実験結果との比較を行うことにより,輻射や中性粒子挙動が非接触プラズマ生成に与える影響を明らかにする。
    さらに,非接触プラズマ再結合フロント近傍の沿磁力線方向の電位分布が非接触プラズマの安定性に与える影響を,電子放出プローブを用いた実験により明らかにする。

    We investigated the photocatalysis of dendritic nanostructured WO3/W composite materials fabricated by He plasma irradiation to tungsten plates, followed by the surface oxidation. The samples promoted the decolorization reaction of methylene blue (MB) aqueous solution under near infrared (NIR) light irradiation. To verify the photocatalysis of the samples, reaction products were analysed by S K-edge XANES measurements for the MB solution kept with the samples under the light irradiation. By the light irradiation, the π*(S-C) and *(S-C) peaks in the XANES spectra reduced and a new peak originated from SO42- species was clearly observed, suggesting that S-C bonds in a MB molecule are broken by the NIR light irradiation and finally the sulfur species exists in the solution in the state of SO42-; ion. These results demonstrate that the photocatalytic decomposition of MB molecules really proceeds over WO3/W composite materials even under NIR light irradiation.

    Deposition of metal particles (ions and neutrals) was carried out simultaneously with helium irradiation on tungsten. As a result, it was revealed that huge fibrous nanostructures were formed. It was revealed that the formation proceeded at a rate 100 to 100,000 times faster than the formation rate of ordinary fibrous nanostructures. Focusing on its initial growth, it is found that it is quite different from the usual tungsten nanostructure (fuzz) growth, which increases exponentially with the irradiation time and thickness increases in proportion to the square root of time. It is revealed that the growth of large-scale nanostructures in the plane direction always has the same direction on the millimeter scale and is consistent with the direction of plasma flow.
