重松鷹泰の授業分析の方法やそれにもとづく日比裕らによる授業諸要因の関連構造の考え方を参考にしながら、教育学の基礎研究として、授業の理論的構造を記述するための方法を検討した。解釈学的で質的な授業分析の条件として、（１）事実にもとづく理論構成、（２）教育実践からの参照可能性のある理論構成、（３）可塑性のある理論構成、（４）子どもの思考過程の解明、（５）動的な把握の５つを導き出した。これまでの研究を振り返ると、特に（３）の可塑性のある理論構成を満たすまでに至っておらず、関連構造の新しい記述法が開発される必要がある。

本論文では、価値と結びついた豊かな学力の重要性について論じている。社会がグローバル化し、成果主義、実力主義、競争主義が浸透する中、学校での成功が、社会での成功を約束するというモデルが崩壊した。これによって、子どもを学習へと駆り立ててきた、将来の報酬というインセンティブの機能が弱まり、学ぶ意欲の減退が見られるようになってきた。しかし、以前は「乗り遅れない」ために、子どもは将来のためだけに学ばざるを得なかったのであり、本来的な学習の意味や意義を感じる機会が剥奪されていたのである。学校での成功が社会での成功に結びつくメカニズムが崩壊した今こそ、学習や学力を手段から目的へと転換し、こうした剥奪から子どもを解放できる好機である。将来のためだけに今があるのではなく、今、これを学ぶこと自体に価値が感じられるような学びを追究すべきである。このようにして身につけた知識や能力は、価値と結びついた豊かな学力を形成する。
