    近年,死細胞自身が情報の発信源となって多彩な生体応答を誘導することが明らかになり,非感染性炎症の慢性化における細胞死の意義が注目を集めている。ネクロプトーシスやフェロトーシスなどの様々な新たな細胞死様式が報告され,細胞死の分子機構は明らかになりつつある一方で,死細胞がどのように処理されるかは不明な点が多い。特に,マクロファージが死細胞を認識し,貪食した後の消化スピードや死細胞の運命についてはほとんど分かっていない。本研究では,死細胞クリアランス不全がもたらす炎症慢性化機構の解明を通して,死細胞貪食の重要性を明らかにする。
