In France, under Nazi occupation, three texts were used to regulate publishing: the "Bernhard list", the "Otto list", and the "Convention of Censorship". This paper confirms that all were originally written under the initiative of French authorities, but German authorities completed them and forced French editors to accept and observe them. Close inspection of regulations and government decrees under the French Third Republic shows that a series of censorship regulations were in effect prior to the beginning of the war against Nazi-Germany. Confluences is one of the literary magazines that slipped through these censorship barriers. This literary magazine ran review-articles about other magazines and newspapers as well as reviews of newly published books. Studying the titles of non-extant magazines cited in the articles allows us to get a fuller picture of the publishing landscape during the German occupation of France. Confluences may be considered to be at the very center of that picture.

『知の考古学』の中でミシェル・フーコーは，Les Cahiers pour l'Analyse誌に掲載された問答テクストを重要な論考として指摘している．Cahiers誌自体は3年間に10号を発行した短命な雑誌で，高等師範学校の学生たちが主体となって発行した雑誌であった．そうした雑誌になぜフーコーの重要なテクストが掲載されたか，Cahiers誌を『知の考古学』のエピテクストと位置づけ，雑誌という場の特性を明らかにすることによって，エピテクストが単なる付随的テクストという位置に留まるものではなく，創造的な源泉ともなり得ることを実証的に明らかにする．

コミュニケーションとしてテクストをとらえる研究方法に，言語学的なものと工学的なものとがあることを説明した上で，これらの研究方法を包括する一般的モデルの必要性を説く．その上で言語学的手法を用いたテクスト研究としてナラトロジーを取り上げ，理論構築の揺籃期における理論的矛盾を洗い出すことで，コミュニケーションとしてのテクスト理解に欠かせない一般モデルの基本概念を析出した．
